Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 2026
What we take on, what we need from you, and where our responsibility ends. Read this before you send us anything.
1Who we are, and what we do
AMTC SDN BHD is a company registered in Malaysia. We arrange the shipping of personal effects and excess baggage from Malaysia to the Arab countries. We are not a carrier. We collect your belongings, inspect them, pack them and prepare their documents, then book the shipment in our name with an established carrier, and that carrier moves it. The carrier carries; we arrange, we follow it, and we stay your counterparty until it arrives.
2How it starts
Everything starts with a WhatsApp message. There is no order form on this site, no account and no online payment. We agree the details and the cost with you before any shipment is booked, and nothing is owed before you agree to it.
3Air freight is charged on weight or volume, whichever is greater
This is the point that surprises customers most. Air freight cost is calculated from the actual weight or the volumetric weight of the shipment, whichever is greater. The volumetric weight in kilograms is length x width x height in centimetres, divided by 5000. A large light box can therefore be charged as more than it weighs. We work it out for you before shipping so you know the final figure in advance.
4What cannot be shipped
We do not ship laptops, phones, screens, oils, honey, medicines or perfumes. Perfume specifically can be shipped from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia, but not from Malaysia. This is a list of what is forbidden and not a list of what is allowed: if what you want to send is not named here, ask us on WhatsApp before sending it. Customs and the carrier's own decisions sit above this list in every case.
5What we need from you
An accurate description of the contents, the recipient's details in full as the destination requires them, and a word about anything that needs particular protection. The accuracy of what you declare is your responsibility: an incomplete or wrong declaration holds the shipment at customs and can have it seized, and we cannot correct it on your behalf once it has been sent.
6Customs charges at the destination
Any tax or duty the destination applies is paid by the customer and sits outside the cost we agree with you. It differs from country to country, we explain it before shipping as far as we are able, and we can neither estimate it on customs' behalf nor change it.
7Tracking and timing
The status you see here reaches us from the carrier as it is, unedited by us. The durations we give are estimates: we do not promise a delivery date, because flight schedules and customs procedures are not ours to control.
8The limits of our responsibility
We answer for what we take on: collection, inspection, packing, documents, booking and follow-up. We do not answer for a delay caused by the carrier, by customs, or by circumstances outside anyone's control. If something is lost or damaged we open the claim with the carrier and follow it with you until it closes, and compensation is governed by that carrier's terms and limits rather than by our judgement.
9Refused or abandoned shipments
If the destination refuses a shipment under its own rules and it is returned or destroyed, the customer bears the return costs and any further charges Malaysian customs applies. Any shipment left with us for three months or more because details are missing from the customer, or a returned shipment whose return cost has not been settled, is disposed of once that period has passed.
10Changes to these terms
We may update this page whenever something about the way we work changes. The date at the top is the date of the last update, and the version published here is the one in force.
